About

My name is Jean-Paul Jandrain, better known on the web as Amigos3D.

Passionate about images, digital creation and computing since the early 80s, I've had the chance to see technology evolve from its earliest beginnings to today's tools. While some collected stamps, I collected PCs. Back then, screens were as deep as desks, but the fascination for images and computing was already there. Technologies and tools have evolved a lot, but one thing has never changed for me: the desire to create.

Self-taught by nature, I learned everything on the job, out of curiosity, passion... and after a few sleepless nights in front of a temperamental screen. Because behind every solid skill, there are usually many memorable mistakes.

Why Amigos3D?

The name Amigos3D is a nod to an era and especially to a legendary computer: the Commodore Amiga 500 and then 1200, an iconic machine of a whole generation. I took the word Amiga and transformed it into Amigos, adding 3D, referring to my marked interest in the world of modeling and computer graphics. It's a tribute to a pioneering era... with this extension towards the future: 3D.

Real Field Experience

I was able to turn my passion into a concrete activity. It happened as early as 1997 with my first professional assignments in visual communication and multimedia, and over the years, several sectors have called upon this expertise. The world of motorsport notably marked part of the journey with creations around Formula 1, rally, NASCAR and MotoGP, and the years passed to the rhythm of games and software. Today I continue to create above all for pleasure... but always with the same passion.

Amigos3D.fr: Much More Than a Website

The site amigos3d.fr is entirely designed and developed by me: design, development, optimization, content, ideas, evolutions. I share a large part of my creations: wallpapers, graphics, visual universes, multimedia content, artistic experiments and other ideas, sometimes serious... sometimes less so. The site evolves very regularly with new ideas, new features but always with the same quality requirement.

We can grow old but we must remain curious. Keep learning, again and again. Test new things. Never consider that we've "been around the block". And prove that you can be passionate for over 40 years... while remaining perfectly compatible with the present but always looking towards the future.

Thank You for Visiting

If you're here, it's perhaps out of curiosity, passion for visuals, to find an original wallpaper or simply to discover an independent creative universe. In any case: welcome. Take the time to explore. Chances are something will catch your eye.
